With Spray It Forward now in its second season, it was time we traveled across the county to the Collegiate Nationals being held at Cypress Hills in Houston Texas.
Team SIF Reps, Finnley Fisher, Amanda Ettienne and myself were ready to drive the 1000 miles each way to watch the teams and their skiers who have worked and trained so hard to qualify for Collegiate Nationals.
SIF has slowly but surely been picking up momentum through time as more and more enthusiasts are getting to hear about our program to help collegiate water skiing and grow the sport. I have to say being part of the 2015 Collegiate Nationals gave us an amazing leap forward in awareness and we are really starting to see the benefits of getting newer and better ski equipment out to the teams that are underfunded and left to try and pull a team together to qualify and ski at Nationals…

Spray It Forward is a charity set up to help the Collegiate Waterski Teams and Skiers across the country be better equipped and ski safer, while also helping grow the number of participants and enthusiasts within the sport at competitive and family levels alike.

Spray It Forward and Jodi’s Ski Skool were so excited to present a slalom ski to Honey Stephenson. This ski donation was made possible by Jeremy & Beverly through a $250 donation.
Spray It Forward is a charity set up to grow the sport of waterskiing by introducing more college students to the sport and to support those collegiate teams by helping provide better quality gear. Our hope is that after falling in love with the sport in college, that these students will continue to be actively involved in the sport of waterskiing throughout their lives – hopefully paying it forward and eventually donating their used gear!
If you have gently used equipment sitting in your garage collecting dust, please consider donating it to Spray It Forward so that we can put it to good use by donating it to skiers in need. The skis that you may consider to be junk may still be an upgrade to some of the current collegiate skiers! We want to thank all who have already donated equipment to Spray It Forward. Your gear is being put to good use and helping to keep collegiate skiers safe on the water!
Please step up and help the cause, it feels good to Spray It Forward!
The collegiate fall season is about to be in full swing and Spray It Forward is excited for all the new and returning skiers! Recently we’ve been revamping our website and social media sites, which I am sure you’ve noticed with the fabulous new logo. The silhouette on the logo is of Spray It Forward’s namesake Amanda Hoffman. Amanda loved waterskiing and was an avid member of the Texas A&M Waterski team. Spray It Forward is a charity set up to help provide quality ski gear to collegiate teams and their skiers across the country. We hope that helping grow collegiate waterskiing will grow the overall number of participants and enthusiasts within the sport at both the competitive and recreational levels.
This season, we will be rolling out some new swag with our updated logo and will be having a stronger presence at waterskiing tournaments. There will opportunities at these events to get some Spray It Forward gear, meet some of the SIF team, donate waterskiing equipment with a tax write-off, and learn more about what we’re trying to accomplish.
We are currently in the process of building our Brand Ambassador program. This will be an awesome position with Spray It Forward that will include free gear, a great resume booster, and a fun way to help the sport we’ve all come to love. Keep checking the site to see what the requirements will be and be sure to contact us with any questions. If you or someone you know would be interested in becoming a Brand Ambassador then shoot us an email at Michael@sprayitforwards.org and we’ll be in touch!
As always, remember to spread the word about Spray It Forward and give back to the sport you love so much!
